Masurian cuisine

This summer E³k will become the culinary capital of Masuria. This is due to the project prepared by the municipal government. The ambition of "E³k - kulinarna stolica Mazur" (E³k - the culinary capital of Masuria) project is to promote traditional regional cuisine.
In 2010 and 2011 four major culinary events will be organized. In June and July two already familiar events will be taking place: Konkurs o Chochlê Prezydenta (Competition for President's Ladle) and Podró¿ ze smakiem (The Travel with Taste).
In August and September two new events will be prepared - Frutti di lago, i.e. what can be fished out of the lake and how to eat it and Festiwal Kartofla (Potato Festival). The project cost is million polish zloty. Half of this amount will be covered by the EU.
